The HelloClan Battlefield Vietnam Server

-[HELLO]-Bfv | Allmaps

The HelloClan server in Battlefield Vietnam, also known as -[HELLO]-Bfv | Allmaps - started up the summer of 2008, then known as -[HELLO]-Flaming Dart 24/7. We had several servers before that, back in 2007 we ran two v1.2 servers called -[HELLO]-Mission Possible & -[HELLO]-Combat Zone, the latter one being more of a SSM & CSM Sandbox for members - inspired by another server called axeman. -[HELLO]-Bfv | Allmaps got through several names, -[HELLO]-Paradise City, -[HELLO]-Flaming Dart 24/7, -[HELLO]-Clan Server & several more. Today, -[HELLO]-Bfv | Allmaps is the largest server in bfv. Which means it has the most players flowing through it per day. The main ideal is to provide players with all of the Maps BFV has to offer with no exceptions, and then a completely "custom rules" free enviroment to play in. We have however decided to put rules on the players that decide to interact using the chat, which basically forbids racism, insulting and more generally disrupting the friendly enviroment we strive for.

-[HELLO]-Private Server

The -[HELLO]-Private Server was a platform for players to play on without getting disturbed from 50 other people shooting at them. Users could invite their friends and play alone on the password protected server, they can also Vote Kick players disrupting the game as well as voting for their favourite maps. Each map is given 3 rounds and over 400 tickets. The password was always: hello, unless there was a clanwar, event or teamrent going on. This server was also be used as the Event Server for the Saturday Events, where everyone was welcome to join the fun!

Server Rules

1.Racism & excessive Insulting will not be tolerated.

This is probably our main rule on -[HELLO]-Bfv | Allmaps, and is not to be interpreted wrongly. While cussing, swearing, having controversial discussions and using controversial nicknames is allowed to a certain point, the line is crossed when someone is offended. So, what is offensive? This is one of the biggest issues we have in the community perception of ban reports. Obviously, people have different opinions and views on certain matters. So to clarify, something is offensive when someone is offended, even if the offender doesn't think it is. The least we can do then is to ask of him to stop bothering the person in question.

Moving on from what's generally offensive, to insulting. We ask you not to insult people in a offensive manner based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, disability status, age, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability or any other status that might really offend a person.

2.No chat spamming.

A simple rule, which is hardly ever a problem - but is still important enough to make it into the server rules. We'll only take action with this rule if the player really is disrupting the chat system for others either with their chat or the in-game radio commands.

3.Use common sense.

Use common sense, and don't try to find ways around the rules. Just because there's a list of rules, it doesn't mean that we'll never make any exceptions, the admins have permission to evaluate situations individually and ban on those grounds. This rule covers things like hacking/glitching/using anything that gives an unfair advantage, teamkilling being AFK in the server and using multiple keys. If you do find yourself in the grey area on one of the rules, don't expect the admin to sit by and wait for you to cross the line with the rulebook open in another window. The bans will always be posted on the website to get the chance to be evaluated by the community.

4.Recruiting and ramming are allowed.

By using all of the maps in BFV, and being the biggest server in the game - we strive to make the server as easy to play on as possible so we allow clans to recruit members here and players can ram into other vehicles.

5.Air main rape is only allowed on last flag.

In order to promote a fun environment we don't allow air units to attack the opposing team's main base unless the opposing team has no other flags. (neutral flags don't count as a team's flag). The specifics for each map are as follows:
Operation Flaming Dart - The rule doesn't apply here as the flags have no effect on mains for either side.
Fall of Lang Vei - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited. (Both the huey slick and mi-8 cargo are exempt)
Hue 1968- No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Ho chi minh trail - No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Saigon 68 - If the team has another above ground flag main rape may not take place. (Village/Bridge House/ Palace)(The Huey slick is exempt)
Quang tri 1968 - No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Fall of Saigon - Main rape is allowed as the plane is not much of a threat.
Reclaiming Hue - No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Defence of Con Thien - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited.
Cambodian Incursion - No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Operation Cedar Falls - If the team has another above ground flag main rape may not take place. (All flags except the tunnel HQ and radio room)(The huey slick is exempt)(NVA doesn't have a main)
Landing Zone Albany - No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Operation Hastings - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited. (The huey slick is exempt)
Operation Game Warden - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited. (The huey slick and mi-8 cargo are exempt)
Quang tri 1972 - No helis/planes so the rule does not apply.
Operation Irving - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited. (NVA doesn't have a main)
Siege of Khe Sahn - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited.
La Drang Valley - If the team has more than 1 flag main rape is prohibited. (NVA has no main)

We follow a warn, kick, ban system.

If it is believed that you are breaking the rules you will be warned before being kicked and then banned should you keep up the rule breaking. Your first ban will last for 24 hours and no topic will be posted on our ban list. All admins are obligated to Warn the player disrupting the gameplay/chat or breaking a rule before he can kick. If the player comes back and continues doing what he got kicked for, the admin can ban the player. Bans longer than 24 hours can be found here within 24 hours of them being placed. If you feel your ban was wrong then you can appeal it. In the unfortunate event that no admins are online when rulebreaking takes place you can report it here.
For more specific information on reporting players, and the punishments that get applied, read our topic on Player reports and repeat offenders.
For specifics on what warnings you'll get for the various rules, how long they last and what we class as rule breaking, check out our Courses of action
You can report an admin, if needed, in our confidential Report an admin section
