Player Reports & Repeat Offenders

Postby IceSkater » July 23rd, 2017, 4:24 pm

I have taken the liberty of re-writing what SK & myself had designed for these systems. The primary goal of this is to make them far more superior than the system previously was.

As well as make them more efficient at providing stronger punishments.

Player Reports;

Please note that if there is a visible discrepancy with a player report, it will be subject to investigation. If it is deemed to be accurate, the punishment will be applied regardless of how much time has passed since the infraction date. If it is deemed to be bias, or based purely on fictitious events, no punishment will be applied and the report will be deleted.

If there is a pattern developing with a certain player and their reports, in the sense that they are abusing the system by making false claims, they will be subject to Administration found punishment.

Not every report will be subject to this type of scrutiny and thus reports will be dealt with as quickly as free time permits.

Requirements for making a report:

1. Players name.
2. A link to the map(s) stats where the reported infringements took place.
3. Rule(s) broken.

Main Raping

Player warnings will count as offical warnings.

If after their first warning from you - the player - they do not cease and desist, if an Admin were there they would be kicked, so if by the time you give them a second warning, and they continue, they will be subject to a 24hr ban.

Map Exploits:

No warnings need to be given in this case.

It must also be reported discretely via the Report A Hacker forum, so that it may be investigated without the party knowing they under suspicion.

Insulting / Derogatory Language;

Player warnings will count as official warnings.

If a player is being uncouth with vulgar language, warn that player. If after their second warning from you they do not stop, the player will be subject to a 1 day to 2 day ban depending on the severity of their language abuse.

Inappropriate names:

In this event, please provide a link to the player's stat page in your report.

This player will be asked to change their name when seen in-game by an Admin.

If their original name is particularly offensive / insulting, they will be subject to a 12hr - 24 day ban. Again, depending on the severity.

Teamkilling & Destroying Friendly Vehicles:

Player warnings will count as official warnings.

If a player is acting like this, and after they have received a fair two warnings from you but still carry on, they will be subject to a 24hr ban. Each vehicle destroyed or each player team-killed will result in an addition of 6hrs onto their 24hr base ban.

Disruptive Play;

Player warnings will count as official warnings.

Giving Away Player Positions:

If the player being compromised is actively playing, or if it's not the end of the map, the player will receive a 24hr ban. If the person had accomplished the feat of giving away a player's position multiple times, an addition of 2hrs will be added per position given away.

Blocking Vehicle Spawns & Rearm Points:

If the player blocking these points does not move after being asked twice, with at least a 3-second gap between requests, the player will receive a 24hr ban. If the player blocked more than one re-spawn / rearm point, an additional 4hrs will be added to their ban time.

Giving away team vehicles:

If after being asked twice to cease this form of disruptive play, they do it again, the player will receive a 24hr ban. In this case there will likely have been multiple vehicles given away, thus an additional 2hrs will be added to their ban per vehicle given away.

Excessive Team-Switching:

If after being requested to stop twice, this player will be subject to a 12hr ban. With multiple attempts at team-switching in this event, an additional 2hrs will be added to the ban time per team switch.

Chat Spamming:

Player warnings count as official warnings.

The player will receive a 12hr ban. In addition to the 12hr ban, the player will receive a 6hr ban per block of text after their two warnings.

----------

If a player is not appropriately warned, the player will only receive half the ban time for the infraction. Regardless of how seasoned they are, they deserve to be told to stop at least once.

There is not a great difference with the new reports system. However, as will be added to the Admin guidelines etc, ban topics will now need to be posted regardless of ban time.

Along with that, ban topics are hereby no-longer required to have evidence and thus may be applied quicker.

Repeat Offenders:

Warnings & kicks must be issued prior to any and all bans.

Bans do not need to be issued on sight, but may be applied at the convenience of the Administration.

If a player broke the rules and was punished in the form of kicks or bans within a 1 week period, that player will be subject to a 24hr ban.

If after this 24hr ban, the player breaks the rules again within a 2 week period, that player will receive a 2 day ban.

If after their 2 day ban, they break the rules and get punished again within the above cool off time, the following comes into effect:

3 Days ban - 2 week cool off.
1 Week ban - 2 week cool off.
2 Weeks ban - 2 week cool off.
3 Weeks ban - 3 weeks cool off.
1 Months ban - 1 month cool off.
2 Months ban - 1 month cool off.
3 Months ban - 1 month cool off.
6 Months ban - 1 month cool off.
9 Months Ban - 1 month cool off.
1 Year ban - 1 month cool off.
Permanent.

Any game infraction will lead to the above clause.

SucceededKiller wrote:If they do not break the rule within the cooldown period, their next ban will be for the period directly above unless they do not break the rule for the cooldown time again at which point it will decrease again. It will decrease like this until they reach the 24 hour ban and are back on par with other, rule abiding, players.

This is a work in progress and I reserve the right to amend it accordingly if the need arises. If any change is made, the topic will be created anew so that it appears active on the forum list.
