Thank you Pisky for your hard work. You and Ice worked hard to make this a fun event.

Didn't we play the tunnels in Operation Cedar Falls? I didn't see that one listed in the image of the event. But that was fun. I suggested, during play, that the mini-map be removed. That would make that map amazing. lol

Yeah it was added yesterday - and we play there more hard and fun even then on saigon tunnels - cuz it little bit bigger and have more way to operate to move and hit enemy.

I also liked it very much. Cedar Falls with tunnels only was great.

Also Saigon. But I joined being the red team which only had that corner flag left...there is NO way to come out when blue team fires with mortars and M79 the whole time. That destroyed the fun for the whole red team. That has nothing to do with "crying"..when there is no chance to leave...no matter if you are a good or bad player.

You appeared at the wrong time and place)))

It is possible to disable mortars, replace them, for example, with a minigun. But I don't know how ethical it would be. I think it will be possible to talk about it if we have ground event again.

I will repeat again - that the fight on this map going for take most of the flags, team who can break opponent - almost win in the battle. For example - that you describe can be happened alsmost on each bfv map - if you connect to the game when your team have last flag and enemy attack it with full streingth - you almost have no chances to get out - no matter good you player or no.

I also like the tunnel-versions of the maps!

I understand both points of view. I just want to add, that for my gameplay, a M16 is much more effective than a AK47 on Saigon. It's very precise while the AK47 has the advantage on Cedar Falls, because most times you do not need to shoot someone in distance in the tunnels of Cedar Falls -> AK47 is very strong and has 30 bullets. But this is just for my gameplay as I'm primary using M16 and AK47 :-D

I like both maps!

My opinion, for what it is worth. I had a great time, especially on Pisky's Saigon '68 map (you want to be on the blue team). Once the red got trapped, it was all over but the cryin' and the dyin'. lol I wonder Pisky if you could have fixed up La Drang to be a good, modded map. Get rid of the blue air base and move them to the local flag district.

Initially I wasn't so crazy about it but I got used to it and had a good time. Thanks for your troubles Ice.

Santa came on and was having all kinds of issues trying to play Ice. Said his player wouldn't move (forward/backward). Etc. Sounds like he was on a laptop. Perhaps you could reach out. Thanks.

Hey, Tony, what is it you don't like about Ia Drang? I'm trying to get an idea of what people will want to see for the altered maps in my mod. The way I have Ia Drang set now, the US troops spawn only at the airbase and have to capture two neutral flags in the valley (the NVA can't capture those flags until after the US has) and then branch out to attack the NVA flags from there, but the more flags the US captures, the less air support they have.

I see. Unfortunately, that problem looks like it's going to stay somewhat the same in Ia Drang for Operation Remembrance, but it should be slightly better because I added another flag in the valley that can easily be reached from the US landing zone and any of the NVA flags on the hill. It'll be mostly fixed in Fall of Saigon (which, by the way, is renamed Outskirts of Saigon) because I've added more vehicles for both sides, and it'll be completely fixed on Defense of Con Thien. I actually split Con Thien into two maps. One is still called Defense of Con Thien and is set in the bottom/US half of the map, and the other is called Across the DMZ and is set in the top/NVA half of the map. And then one of the patches will introduce a third map, Operation Hickory II, which is set in the DMZ itself (the valley that runs through the middle of the map).

Now that I think about it, Ia Drang might not be so bad because of some other changes. I made the US base uncapturable, and adding the extra flag in the valley changes the balance slightly. What it comes down to is the NVA has no reason to make the trip all the way up to the US airbase, and the US has to maintain a strong, constant presence in the valley just to keep from bleeding tickets. It basically forces the players to spawn in closer areas.

TonyB as you can see on this video nva team won round. so as i say everything depend on who can take and control most of the flags.

As you can see, this is because pinky was not leading the blue team to victory! Pinky wasn't even playing.
